RONALD KLEINFELD We, the family of our beloved Ronald Kleinfeld are deeply saddened by the passing of our husband, father and Zaida at home on the evening of December 12, 2009. We are grateful for the gift of his life and take comfort that he is at rest after a long struggle with lymphoma. Ron was born in Winnipeg on April 21, 1938 to Ester (nee Travis) and Aubrey Kleinfeld, graduating from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Science. Although Ron made Vancouver his home in 1967, Winnipeg and the life long friendships he nurtured there remained a part of him. His loyalty to his family, his friends and business associates in the garment industry earned him respect. He was a character with great wit whose impeccable style was well know through his Kleinfeld Agency at the FX Building and will be missed by all who knew him. He was passionate about sports, especially football. He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 30 years, Liese, his two sons, Travis and Jason and his wife Holly, and his two beautiful granddaughters, Brianna and Tia, and his sons' mother, Judy. As well, he leaves behind a large extended family who all loved him. He was predeceased by his parents and his dear brother, Barney Kleinfeld (Brad Keene). Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Schare Tzedeck Cemetery at 2345 Marine Drive, New Westminster. Shiva will be held at the Kleinfeld residence at 6:00 p.m. for three evenings. For directions, call (604-908-4899).

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I MISS HIM DEARLY, I AM BLESSED AND HONOURED THAT I MET RONI IN MY LIFE. ONE TIME WE TRAVELLED TOGETHER TO CALGARY TO SEE SHMATAA CUSTOMERS, ONCE IN THE HOTEL ROOM WE ARE ABOUT TO WATCH A GREAT BOXING MATCH, IN THE MEANTIME I WAS FRESHENING UP AND STARTING TO BRUSH MY TEETH, BUT AT THAT MOMENT THE FIGHT BEGAN AND I CAME OUT WITH MY TOOTH BRUSH IN MY HANDS, AND RONI SAID THE FOLLOWING TO ME "WHAT? YOU MISS ME!" WE LAUGHED NONE NONE STOP FOR DAYS. - Posted by: JOSEPH SABAN (EX-PARTNER AND CLOSE FRIEND) on: Jul 11, 2013
